To aru majutsu no index II Nendoroid petite Accelerator

This is a review about a nendoroid petite of the anime 'To aru majutsu no index II' of the character Accelerator. He is wearing his clothes from season two and takes on a fearless pose. Accelerator is a main protagonist of the Science Side in the Toaru Majutsu no Index series. He is the most powerful esper currently residing in Academy City. When he is enraged or excited he breaks into a wide grin and laughs, giving him a maniacal and sadistic appearance.

With this figure I have a little problem with the outfit. Accelerator is wearing his season 2 outfit, which is spot on. But It's weird to see him like that without his crutch and neck-device. To me it would be more accurate of he had those with him. Also the painting of his hair is a bit off, I would love his hair to be more whiter instead of having the purple glance in it. His facial expression is also quite weird. He looks utterly happy, which doesn't really suit Accelerator at all. This is because his hair covers his evil frowning eyebrows. This makes his expression rather weird. Even so I think it would be cooler if it showed him grinning evilly. But that's just my personal preference. The pose they gave him is good in my opinion, because he tends to be confident in fights.

Nendoroids are usually of high quality but I did found some flaws. After receiving my Touma figure I happily bought the Accelerator one. Even though they are from the same series, my Touma figure is clearly better sculpted then Accelerator. This because the Accelerator figure has very visible seams, which make the figure look cheap. The painting of Accelerator's hair on the other hand is done very well, because I can imagine putting the purple glance on it is hard. The eyes of the figure are very accurate and very well painted. Another thing that I have a problem with is that since the figure wears a rather simple outfit they could have made the shirt more detailed with folds and such. This would take the figure a level higher on the scale of quality because now the figure looks kinda cheap since his outfit doesn't require a lot of skill. Also the ground plate is just made from plastic, which makes it even look more cheap. Well you can say that you can't expect great details for such a cheap price but I have to say that I've had cheaper figures with more detail so it's just the way you look at it. Let's say my Touma figure disappointed me a bit, but the Accelerator one disappointed me even more.

There wasn't much construction since you only had to put the supporting beam in the ground plate and than attach your figure to it. This went really smoothly and the figure doesn't easily come out.

The figure was in one piece with the ground plate and supporting beam separate.
