Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha PVC figure Fate

This is a review about a anime figure from the anime Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha from the character Fate testarossa.  Fate is a mage from theGarden of Time, who is sent to collect Jewel Seeds, which puts her at odds with her rival, Nanoha Takamachi. She is aided on her quest by an animal familiar, a mature dog-woman named Arf. here she's shown standing in a dynamic pose while wielding her weapon "Bardiche", ready to crush her opponent.

R E S E M B L A N C E
Let's start with Fate herself before talking about the weapons. Fate her face and hair are so beatifully done, and simular to the anime. Her hair is hold together by the two ribbons that Nanoha gave her at the end of season one. Next her outfit is the same as season one, and again a real piece of art. The figure comes with three forms of "Bardiche": the normal device form, the scythe form and her sealing form. All weapons are very realistic and well executed. The ground plate has Fate's seal on it, which appears when she wants to seal an evil spirit. So everything is according to the anime.


Q U A L I T Y
Let's start again with Fate herself and then talk about her weapons. Fate her face and hair are amazingly well done, they're so well sculpted and painted. Her hair is really dynamic and realistic as it flows in the act of Fate's movement. Next her outfit is a real piece of art. The vows in the cape and the skirt are well done and the black top Fate is wearing really catches ones eye. It's not just painted but covered in some shiny material what gives it a nice shine. Also her gloves, ribbons and boots are covered in this shiny material. Fate's skirt isn't attached to the figure which is clever from the designer. That way the skirt really seems to rest loosely on the figure. Now, the weapons. Every form of bardiche has so much detail on it and looks really proffesional. It's also fun to change her weapon from time to time because the figure comes with an other arm and hand to hold the sealing form Bardiche. That way she takes another pose and it's refreshing to be able to change her pose. The 'stick' of Bardiche is also made from a metal-ish material what gives it a nice shine. Now there is one downside, the figure excists out of two parts: below waist and above the waist. Now since the cape is weighing quite a lot and is attached to the figure, the upper part of the figure tends to bow itself a little to the back due to the weight. I've this figure now for more of a year and due to the weight of the cap the upper body is breaking apart Which is shown in the picture below. Because of this, the figure has become very fragile (hence the reason why I didn't take pictures of the figure with the other arm piece). It's a very big letdown in my opinion since it was a expensive figure. I wonder why the designers didn't made some supporting points for the cape.

C O N S T R U C T I O N
The figure fitted really easily in the ground plate, also the weapons are really easy to build up since there is a manual.

The figure was in one piece together with an extra arm and hand, all the weapons each themself excisting out of multiple pieces,the ground plate and the two metal sticks to attach the figure to the ground plate.
