This is a review about a PVC figure of Soul Eater Evans from the anime Soul Eater. He is a demon scythe and the partner of Maka Albarn, and the main male protagonist. His weapon form has a red and black blade. He is a laid back and nonchalant boy who tries to maintain a "cool" attitude, which he compares to the situations he is in. He tends to bicker with Maka over unimportant things from time to time, but is fiercely loyal and has more than once displayed his will to die for his friends safety.

R E S E M B L A N C E

The figure shows Soul crouching while he's smirking towards his opponent. His arm is already transformed into his weapon mode. This pose suits Soul very well as we have seen similar poses in the anime. His clothes are a bit of a let down because some details of his jacket have a different colour. For example the soul sign at his back is some dirty yellow instead of the bright yellow of his sleeves. When we look at his face we can see that it is painted in the style of the anime. The face and hair is also sculpted very well and similar like the anime. Soul's scythe arm is made out of some plastic-ish material which make it have a nice shine. The blade itself is painted very well too. Overall Great Eastern Entertainment did a good job on this.

Q U A L I T Y

I can't lie about it, the quality of this figure is not all that well. There are some seams on the figure and some irregularities. The painting is also a bit sloppy at some points. It's a shame because some more decent paint and sculpt-work would have made this figure really great! It's more accurate as a trading figure but it has the same quality as one. Even so i'm glad I bought it because accurate figures of Soul are rather rare. So I try to look past the quality issues and be happy with the accuracy of the figure.
