This is a review about a trading figure of the anime 'Soul eater' of the character 'Maka Albarn'. Maka is Soul Eater Evans' Scythe Meister. As such, she stands out as the female protagonist and one of the main Meisters in the story. Of all the main characters, she is the most normal and civilized of the group, which provides a significant balance to the other main characters

I can't find any information about this figure so I expect that this is a bootleg.

Price: I got this figure for € 10 (12,94 USD) at an anime exhibition.

Height: It's about 14 cm (5,51 inch) in height.

R E S E M B L A N C E

The figure takes on a rather static battle position, but I think that doesn't really mind. Although the figure might look a bit cheap you can't get around the fact that all the details are there! You have the detailed scythe, her characteristic jacket and boots, and the fierceful expression. The only thing that makes the figure a little weird is that the figure has a rather invisible mouth. That's a shame because otherwise it would be placed on a higher level.

Q U A L I T Y

As we look at the painting of this figure I have to say I've seen worse. All parts are painted and there aren’t any black areas. The only mistake I see is the colour of Maka's eyes which have to be a tad darker. The sculpting is also done decent apart from the boots. The sculpting on the boots is a bit wobbly and it shows.

C O N S T R U C T I O N

The figure was in multiple pieces together with the ground plate. The figure could be very easily built up and placed on the ground plate. I had no problems with building this figure.
