Bleach ABS/PVC Figure Figuarts ZERO Ichigo (Getsuga Form)

This is a review about a ABS/PVC figure of the anime character 'Ichigo' from the anime 'Bleach'. Ichigo receives Soul Reaper powers as a result of a run-in with Rukia Kuchiki, the Soul Reaper assigned to patrol his city, Karakura Town. These powers come at the cost of Rukia's own, and as a result, Ichigo concedes to work as Rukia's stand-in, fighting to protect people from evil spirits called hollows and sending good spirits, wholes, to Soul Society. Here he's shown in his Final Getsuga Tenshō form.

When we take a look at this figure we immediately recognize Ichigo. His characteristic eyes are very well painted and his hair is sculpted very realistically. The color of the figure's hair goes from black to a more grey-ish tint. This isn't the case in the anime, but even so it does look great on the figure. I was very surprised about his face since it really looked like Ichigo. I also appreciate the designers their work on the black “glow”. I think it really adds up to the figure but I think that the “glow” in Ichigo's hand could have been a little bit more accurate. Ichigo's outfit is executed with an eye for detail and matches the image we got from the anime.

I think the sculptors did a great job on this figure. All the black “glow” surrounding ichigo has so much detail and all seem to have a gradient in them from black to red. The sculpting of Ichigo's hair is outstanding and really tops it off. The painting work isn't as detailed in my opinion. The painters did their best but I think there are some sloppy parts. I don't find that the painting is awful, but I've seen better. It's a shame because if the painting were a bit better it would have tilted the figure to an higher level. There are also some minor seams on the figure which I regret.

The “glow” that you have to place in Ichigo's left arm fitted very nicely. He also went smoothly in his ground plate.

The figure was in one piece and had the ground plate and the glow, from his left arm, separate.

Fullmetal alchemist Brotherhood PVC figure Ichiban kuji Roy Mustang

This is a review about a PVC action figure of the anime character 'Roy' from the anime 'Fullmetal alchemist'. Roy also known as the Flame Alchemist, is the tritagonist of the Fullmetal Alchemist series. He is a State Alchemist and officer in the Amestrian State Military. A hero of the Ishval Civil War and Edward Elric's superior officer, Colonel Mustang is a remarkably capable commander who plans to become the next Führer of Amestris. Here Roy is shown in his state uniform while snapping his fingers to release his ability.

Roy's characteristic uniform really pops out at this figure. It is painted and sculpted very accurate like the image we get from Roy in the anime. All the details of Roy's jacket are present and really tilt the figure to an higher level. The face of Roy is a let down I'm afraid. When you look at the figure's face at the front, it doesn't look like Roy at all. But if you put the figure in profile the face looks a lot better to be honest. Even though I'm a bit disappointed about the face and the hair of the figure.

I have to complement the sculptors on their job with this figure. The folds in Roy's uniform are sculpted very realistically and so is his face. I like how they have executed his simple uniform with so much folds. It makes the figure seem on a high level. Not to mention his waving cape which is outstanding. His hair is sculpted rather rough though. It's a shame that there are some visible seams on the figure though. I also can't be very optimistic about the paintwork of this figure. The overall paintwork isn't too bad, but at some places it is rather sloppy. If the painting were a bit better it would have tilted the figure to an even higher level.

There was no real building needed for this figure. Roy fitted easily in the ground plate and his supporting beam did too.

The figure was in one piece with only the ground plate and supporting beam separate.
